Renowned rapper 2 Chainz, born Tauheed K. Epps and hailing from College Park, Georgia, found himself in a harrowing incident on a recent Saturday morning in Miami, Florida. The artist, in town for the Art Basel weekend festivities, reportedly survived a car crash on the bustling I-95.

Initial reports from TMZ indicated that the 46-year-old rapper was rear-ended while driving in the early hours of the morning. This unsettling event was later corroborated by footage shared by 2 Chainz himself on Instagram. In the video, the rapper filmed the aftermath of the crash from the back of an ambulance en route to a hospital, where he was thankfully described as being in stable condition. However, it was revealed that he had sustained neck injuries as a result of the collision.

The crash involved three vehicles: a Mercedes, a Nissan, and a Toyota. According to a representative from the Florida Highway Patrol, there were no fatalities in the accident. However, there are suspicions that the driver responsible for colliding with 2 Chainz may have been operating under the influence of substances.

The incident occurred as 2 Chainz was apparently about to exit the interstate highway. The Instagram footage provided a glimpse of the severe damage, with the driver’s side of a black vehicle completely obliterated. The hood of the car was forcefully pushed upwards into the windshield, emphasizing the intensity of the impact.

Only hours before the crash, 2 Chainz had shared a story on his Instagram from Marketplace 119, a recently opened seafood spot in Miami that has attracted other notable names such as DJ Khaled and Rick Ross. Reports suggest that the rapper spent the hours leading up to the accident at a local strip club.

In response to the incident, social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter), saw discussions on the dangers of drinking and driving. One user expressed concern, stating, “You people take things for granted, Drinking and driving should not be deemed ‘cool.’” Another suggested a more stringent approach to combat drunk driving, saying, “start giving these drunk drivers LIFE and watch how quickly the problem will be fixed.”
